NovaSkill, a highly regarded not for profit Group Training and Registered Training Organisation are seeking a self motivated individual to join our busy team in the Newcastle area and continue a  4 year  apprenticeship  in Certificate III automotive .

SELECTION CRITERIA

Key functions specific to this role?

• A Light Vehicle Mechanic tests and identifies problems in vehicles, and replaces or repairs the fault. Changes in the industry and increasing use of electronic controls and computers in vehicles are resulting in increased specialisation in the light vehicle mechanic trade. 
• As a result, a tradesperson may specialise in areas such as Air Conditioning, Brakes, Fuel Injection or Diagnostic mechanics.

What personal attributes might a successful Light Vehicle Mechanic have?

Generally speaking, people working as Light Vehicle Mechanics will be those who:

·         enjoy practical and manual work

·         are able to work with hand tools

·         have technical aptitude

·         have problem-solving skills

·         are physically fit

·         have normal eyesight and hearing

·         Current NSW drivers licence
