Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

NovaSkill, a highly regarded not for profit Group Training and Registered Training Organisation are seeking a self motivated individual to join our busy team in the Ballina/Lismore Shire area and undertake a  4 year  apprenticeship  in Certificate III automotive Mechanical Technology.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Key functions specific to this role?

• speak to vehicle operators regarding problems
• repair tune, maintain and test large automotove vehicles such as trucks, buses, tractors, earthmorving equipment and argricultural machiniery
• identify electrical and mechanical faults

What personal attributes might a successful Light Vehicle Mechanic have?

Generally speaking, people working as Light Vehicle Mechanics will be those who:

·         enjoy practical and manual work

·         are able to work with hand tools

·         have technical aptitude

·         have problem-solving skills

·         are physically fit

·         have normal eyesight and hearing

·         Current NSW drivers licence

·         No skin allergies or reactions to grease, oil or petrol
