Apprentice Plumber

NovaSkill, a highly regarded not for profit Group Training and Registered Training Organisation are seeking a self motivated individual to join our busy team in the Ballina Shire Area and undertake a  4 year  apprenticeship  in Certificate III plumbing gas fitting & draining.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Key functions specific to this role?

• Plumbers lay out, test and maintain pipes, fixtures, metal roofing, fittings, gas meters and regulators. They might specialise in domestic, commercial and/or industrial work.
• Domestic work includes home construction, renovation and repair, gas installation, roof plumbing, heating and ventilation work
• Commercial Plumbing covers commercial construction of office buildings etc.
• A Plumber working in the industrial sector will generally work on large-scale industrial sites including power stations, manufacturing plants and factories. 

What personal attributes might a successful Plumber have?

Generally speaking, people working as Plumbers will be those who:

• are interested in practical work
• have good hand-eye coordination
• are able to work independently
• are able to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• are physically fit
• hold a current NSW drivers licence
• have good mobility
