Civil Construction (Road Worker) Traineeship

Novaskill, a highly regarded not for profit Group Training and Registered Training organisation are seeking a self motivated person in the Coffs Harbour area for this exciting role.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• An interest in practical and manual work
• Ability to work well with others
• Good hand and eye coordination
• An interest in working outdoors
• High School Certificate

Key functions specific to this role?

• Load and unload equipment and machines
• Direct and monitor traffic through work areas
• Clear shrub, remove grass and topsoil and help with the preparation for drains and foundations
• Prepare roads before surfacing by operating tank-truck distributor or hose to spray tar and road oils

Selection Criteria

• You must have a sound understanding of OHS practices in the workplace
• A current NSW driver's licence
• A NSW GreenCard is essential
• Additonal construction tickets and licences is highly regarded
