Apprentice Spray Painter/Blaster

NovaSkill a highly regarded not for profit group Training Organisation and Registered Training Organisation are seeking a self motivated individual to join our busy team. You will be placed with on of novaSkills host clients in the Rutherford area and will undertake a 4 year apprenticeship in certificate III in Surface Prearation and Coating Application which is a newly offered course at glendale TAFE.

Personal attributes a we are looking for are:

• Have a genuine interest in the trade
• Able to undertake manual and heavy work
• Comply witg OH&S regulations
• Able to work in a team environment
• Have a strong work ethic
• Able to follow instructions
• Hold a current NSW drivers licence
• Hold forklift licence (not essential, maybe willingness to obtain)

Key functions specific to this role?

• Prearation and painting of large heavy earthmovinh machinery
• Unloading and loading of items on a daily basis
• Assist in the prearation and the spray painting of earthmoving equipment and various items
• Assist to abrasive blast all equipment and components in a safe, professional, timely maner
• Maintain the paint bay facility and associated equipment
• Assemble and install plumbing equipment

 This work shop is subject to conduct regualr drug and alcohol testing
