A long time employee of NovaSkill Lori Corradi was presented with the NSW Group Training Chairman’s Award at the Star City Grand Ballroom in October. The prestigious award was presented to Lori in recognition of her dedication to Group Training and the support she has shown thousands of apprentices throughout her career.
Lori is known as the unsung hero of Group Training and has worked diligently in the Administration department at NovaSkill for over 13 years. Throughout her time, her concern for the welfare of apprentices has been second to none and she has been there to support them and encourage them to make the most of their opportunities. Phil Petersen, GTO Manager says ‘Lori has a willingness to go the extra mile, underpinning all of her professional endeavors and has a work rate that is unachievable by her counterparts.”
NovaSkill also took out the award for Innovation/ Best Practice for the Adopt An Apprentice campaign. This award cements NovaSkill’s reputation as a market leader and innovator. The Adopt an Apprentice campaign was developed by NovaSkill in response to the growing number of apprentices out of trade as a result of the Global Financial Crisis in the first half of 2009.
Ms Cathy Webb of NovaSkill said “We are thrilled to receive the Innovation award and it is great recognition of a lot of hard work and passionate belief from our team. The results achieved by Adopt An Apprentice speak for themselves and we will continue to strive to look for new ways to promote and support apprentices in our communities.”
